So DeVry College does give you more flexibility in their online courses than you would have in a traditional classroom.
What is online learning like? When I was living in Taiwan and teaching English I wanted to earn some college credit, but there was no way I could understand what was going on in the colleges in Taiwan, and commuting to the U.S. was not an option. So I enrolled in an online college with a format similar to studying online at DeVry. My experience at the online college was a very positive one. I enjoyed the online discussions with my fellow online students. Unlike speaking, when you write you have the chance to look over what you've written before you send it. So sometimes the discussions in an online degree program are actually better than in a traditional classroom.
Overall, I recommend online degrees for those who think they would enjoy the convenience. Online learning is not for everyone but for some people it could be just what they need to get started on that degree.
