You can earn a certificate, an Associate's, or a Bachelor's degree in graphic arts online.
Here are some schools who offer graphic design courses online:
- Art Institute Online : The Art Institute Online offers a wide variety of programs in Graphic Arts, from diplomas to Bachelor's degrees. The Graphic Design courses require about 15 hours a week of work, and each course takes about 6 weeks. There will be about 15 other students in your class. You can either take one class or sign up for a whole program. The courses cost about $1,200 per course.
- Capella University: Capella University offers a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a Graphics and Multimedia specialization. The program includes learning vector graphics, vector graphics animation, and image processing. Tuition at Capella is $870 for a 3 credit hour course and $1,740 for a 6 credit hour course.
- Westwood College: Graphic Design & Multimedia – AAS or BS. Graphic Arts and Design programs at Westwood include Graphic Design and Multimedia, E-Business Management, Computer Network Management, Software Engineering, Visual Communications, and Computer Network Engineering. Tuition at Westwood is: Full-Time (12 and up credits per term): $206 – $326; ¾ time( 9-11.5 credits per term): $255 – $326; ½ time (6-8.5 credits per term): $299 – 424.
